Hi Gary, mate that was a few years ago!! “if the blower only blows full speed, an inline fuse, under the hood, near the bulkhead has blown – I replaced mine with a 15 amp fuse and have had no further trouble. ” I had to re read my article!!

The clue is that it is an inline fuse and near the bulkhead. From memory now I think it might have been below the wiper motor area – sorry I can’t say exactly. I’m assuming your vette is like mine and converted to Right Hand Drive- so every converter moves things a bit differently – if yours is still left hand drive, go to the Corvette forum, the guys there are really helpful – http://www.corvetteforum.com

“The fan is stuck on high and will only blow in the defrost mode… before it would only blow on your feet,” my first guess would be either your climate control is faulty or maybe a vacuum line to a door in the vent system is loose

I just bought a 1990 and I was excited to see the pictures in such detail on the blower module. I was told that it was my problem as well. However it and $200 later did not fix the problem. The fan is stuck on high and will only blow in the defrost mode… before it would only blow on your feet,

You mentioned the bulkhead….there might be a fuse….. since I have only owned the car for 9 days can you tell me where to look for the fuse…. bulkhead?

The 1N4001 is a 50 volt, 1 amp diode.
The 1N4007 is a 1000 volt, 1 amp diode.

There is no difference in the current rating for the 1N4001 series of diodes.

i have started to remove hub assembly on passenger side of a 1988 vette and i have followed directions to remove half shaft, i have removed 3 of the 4 straps on uj but 1 strap had rounded heads on the bolts and i made it worse! can some one help me with the best idea to remove bolts? it is one of the straps closest to the pig! i need help…………!!!!!!!

Well done on your Air Con article. I have an 88 vett with 78K Kilometers
here in Sydney. It was in storage for 10 years.
I have had the car for 3 years now and was stumped as to where the fan
control unit was. Yes the US guys all said on the top of the Air box, I did
not realise they inverted the unit when the left to right conversion was
done. Thanks for your great site. I enjoy my car and was considering selling
it. There are no buyers out there so I am thinking of keeping it and slowly
getting it back to a better condition. Doug

Sorry, there’s no ingredients listed on the can. Obviously has a lot of silicone in it, there is a ‘Dealers Advantage’ can that states it has 50% more silicone. There must be other ingredients though because the shine stays for so long. It’s 9 months since i last sprayed the engine and it still looks good. I have driven in rain and dust, my C4 is my daily driver.

I have found the same module is used in some commodores (not sure of year)it is located above steering column behind speedo it is usually just sitting there waiting to be unplugged

First off, very nice website you have.

Re your Armorall Tire Foam tip, do you have any idea what the product contains?

I’m over in Spain and the EU Armor All sites don’t seem to list the Tire Foam, so I’m wondering if I can find an alternative.
